This Privacy Policy explains how Eternal Legacy (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when funeral homes and memorial care providers (“Customer”) and the families they serve (“End Users”) use our Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, work email, phone number, company name, and billing details provided by Customer during signup.
Memorial content: photos, videos, voice notes, written tributes, guestbook messages, and service details submitted by Customer or End Users.
Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, and general interaction data collected automatically to keep the Service reliable and secure.
Cookies: small files used to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences.

3. How we use information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
To process subscription payments and send billing notices;
To communicate with Customer about account activity, updates, and support requests;
To keep the Service secure and to detect or prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell personal data or Memorial Content, and we do not use Memorial Content to train third-party advertising products.

4. Sharing of information

We share information only where necessary to operate the Service:

With infrastructure and hosting providers who store data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations;
With payment processors, to process Customer subscriptions;
When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data retention

We retain account information and Memorial Content for as long as the associated account is active. If a Customer account is terminated, Memorial Content is retained for 30 days to allow for export, after which it may be permanently deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal information. Customers can manage most of this directly from their account dashboard; End Users can contact the Customer that created their memorial page, or reach us directly using the details below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data and Memorial Content, including encryption in transit and access controls limiting who can view stored data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage Customer to use strong, unique passwords.

8. Children's information

The Service is intended for use by adults acting on behalf of a business or family. Memorial pages may reference or include images of children as part of a family's tribute, submitted at the direction of a parent, guardian, or the Customer on their behalf.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service before they take effect.
